Heartwood Farms carries forward a 100-year farming legacy in Linden, California, stewarded today by third-generation farmer Franz Eilers. Rooted in the belief that a farm should function as a living ecosystem, Heartwood integrates regenerative and biodynamic practices including nutrient cycling through on-farm compost, cover cropping, native pollinator habitat, and seasonal sheep grazing within the orchards. Their cherries have been CCOF certified organic since 2010, and the farm is actively transitioning all acreage toward organic certification while building a resilient agricultural future grounded in stewardship, biodiversity, and family legacy.
